How to get naked

There is a problem with the power in the room so I may get knocked off. Hopefully the other live blogger will still capture the session.

Katie Burke/ Streams of Unconciousness

Q: What do you worry about by putting yourself out there?
A: Heather: It's been a long process. Developing a network of friends has helped because there is a huge group of people that have been there to support me.
A: Ronnie: The personal benefits have been enormous to me. I know my self a lot better now. I made a point from day one to make a rule that I would always say how old I am. And what happened is that it's just not a big deal anymore.
A: Koan: I write for the people that are going for the same process that I am going through. There are many others that are going through the same thing as me that are being ostricised and hurt and I wanted to be able to help them.

Jen all we need is coffee
Q: Did you ever hesitate to share?
A: Heather: I had to come off my medication in order too get pregnant and I was feeling great during my pregnancy but my baby was born I felt like I couldn't tell people what I was really going through but there came a day when I felt like I had to tell people.
A: Ronnie: I use little personal stories and vingettes and it gives people permissions to share their stories. As I shared the stories of taking care of my mother at the end of her life, i got tons of emails pouring in of both support and sharing.

Were you kicked off the wi-fi? I was so looking forward to learning all the stuff I missed in this Naked session. I came in late. What I did hear has emboldened me to 'list' my identity blog. So this was a very pivotal session for me. Thanks, everyone, for daring to be naked.

Hi there! Forgive me for being forward, but... did you come up and speak to me, outside the room, immediately after the "How To Get Naked" panel and show me a photograph of you, from some months ago?

I was so stressed out that day, I immediately forgot half of the names of people I met, and I was running to find the room where I was down to record the next session - if that was you, I'd really like to follow up on our brief conversation.

If, of course, it *wasn't* you, then forgive me for disturbing you! :-)
