Mixology Monday - VII

Today is Mixology Monday. It's being hosted by Cocktail Chronicles. The theme this time around is Goodbye Summer. Since I have spent my summer being reaccquainted with my old amigo Senor Tequila, I thought it was only fitting to post the recipe for Margaritas.

Frozen Margaritas
Tequila One cup (8 ounces)
Triple sec a quarter cup
Limeade frozen concentrate half can (6 ounces)
Lemon juice one fresh lemon
Ice Two cups large cubes
Water a half cup

Mixing the Ingredients

1. Get a blender.

2. Put the ice cubes in the blender.

3. Pour in the tequila and triple sec.

4. Using your straining device to keep out lemon seeds, squeeze that fresh lemon into the blender.

5. Pour in the lime aide concentrate. Try not to exceed the prescribed amount -- go light on this stuff (if anything).

6. Pulse or blend into crushed ice.

7. Pour into salt rimmed glass.

8. Cut up a lime and hang it off the edge of the glass.

We've been making margaritas with the frozen limeade for a long time, and those always turn out the best!

Cheers... Or should I say "Salud!"

Oh, I just had one of those a few nights ago and it was amazing. While I think it would be dangerous for me to make them at home, I would always have a smile on my face lol...

Oh that's going to be very useful. Where I'm from its hot and rainy all year 'round. Frozen margeritas ALWAYS sound good to me. :)
