i love that i have a place to cook but i hate my kitchen. partially because i share it with two roommates, but mostly because there is no real counter space. the largest space is that corner area where my kitchen aid is and that is a tiny space. when i bake, i need to pull the dining room table over so that i have room to spread things out.
that door you see next to the fridge leads to my suite of rooms.
in the pot on the stove is my first attempt at making french onion soup. it turned out really well!

well, you actually have more counter space than I do! I cook on my stove all the time because there's next to no counter space! Someday that will change I hope!
& I love french onion soup! All that cheese mmmm.

Barbie, there is no way around this matter unless you are willing to store more counter items.

Got a recipe for the French Onion soup? Sounds yummy. I had the same prob as yu when we first bought the house we have now. My counter space was limited. However, my kitchen is VERY large and open so I had a kitchen island installed. Made a huge difference!
I love seeing other's kitchens. A few months ago, I did a tour of my apartment and showed off my kitchen. I'm moving to a larger place this month but with a much, much smaller kitchen. It sucks because we cook all meals. We are not so much bakers but we like to cook and cabinet space is an issue.

I hear yah on the counter space. I too, use my kitchen table to prep and do stuff when I cook. With it so cold out right now, a pot of french onion soup sounds wonderful!

We have a fair amount of counter space...I just don't use any of it. ;)

Having no room in the kitchen on the counter tops is awful :-( I was in the same position last year so I cleaned out the cupboards, got rid of stuff I didn't use and put everything away off the counters. Made a hell of a difference as I couldn't afford a bigger house with a bigger kitchen!

I like my kitchen. It's clean and white, a bit small but with plenty of counter space...
