so yesterday, as i passed the gas station that is closest to my office in the morning i noticed that the price had not changed since friday. good right?
$4.31 for 87 octane.
then last night as i was passing the station i glanced over and almost had a stroke. it was $4.46 for 87 octane.
when is it going to end? will we hit $5.00 per gallon by july fourth? how are we going to be able to live? the cost of food is going up too because of the cost of transporting it. what is going to happen?
i have said this is going to be worse than the stock market crash and depression of 1929. i truly believe that.
discuss.

It's so messed up... Do we need to start taking out loans just so we can buy fuel??? GAH!
and i have to get gas at lunchtime today.... the cheapest i've seen around me was $4.19 but who knows what it will be in an hour.
i do agree, this is BAD. there's pretty much no disposable income.
I don't think it will end any time soon. Global demand is up. The best we can do is start having higher fuel economy standards and changing the car culture in this country.
Yep crazy stuff indeed. We're paying $2.00 per litre in New Zealand right now. I'm thinking that cycling to work might be a good option.
cycling to work is a scary option for me because believe me, no one wants to see my fat arse on a bicycle! :0
My last prediction on this, several weeks ago, was $5.20 by Thanksgiving. However, I'm changing the date on that to Labor Day.
I do LOVE the picture.
We had to pay over $4.50 a gallon in SF the other day. Yikes. Definitely tightening the belt on this end.
I can't bike either. I'll fall and get ran over. I don't think Adam and the kitties would like that much.
Gas is still 3.67 here but there really isn't anywhere diserable to drive around her. Hehe
