i am planning a 5 mile walk tomorrow and another on monday. i think sunday will be spent in carmel taking a walk on the beach and then doing a little retail therapy. :)

Dude, we were just in Carmel! Damnation, it was cold! Did you have a good time?
Carmel was lovely. it was cold and windy enough that there weren't a lot of people around but sunny enough that when the wind did stop blowing for a few minutes it was gorgeous.
i managed to find us an untimed FREE parking space only 2 blocks from ocean avenue.
we had a delicious lunch that included peach belini's, grilled artichokes, garlic bread, the best carbonara i have EVER had, and goat cheese pizza at the little napoli bistro.
the only thing (besides chocolates, and they don't count anyway) that i spent money on was a mermaid greeting card (for my bathroom collection) and a milagro.
roommate L bought me a beautiful pair of silver mermaid earrings from her friend Rick at Nature's Bounty.
on the way home we stopped at the willow glen frozen yogurt company for a frozen chocolate silk custard. YUM!
best of all, i ate my left over carbonara for breakfast yesterday.
